Bought this product as a first attempt to finish and assemble a guitar. For that purpose it is a great purchase.
I used a stain + oil finish on the guitar and it came out great looking. Beware! If you plan on staining, you have to do a LOT of sanding to get the woodfiller out. As for craftmanship the neck was really well done, dead straight and good fretjob with quite a nice feel to it.
The hardware is so-so, especially the trem is very lightweight. The electronics is quite a hassle as it barely fits in the routed cavity and the mics sounds pretty bad. However, the plug-in feature is great. Also note that some of the pre-drilled holes (mainly for bridge) isnt necessarily correct, so be prepared to make new ones.
You need some knowledge of how a guitar works, as the instruction manual wont help you one bit.
All in all, i would recommend this kit. Especially if you, like me, plan on upgrading the guitar bit by bit (hardware, electronics). If not, it is at least a fun project that will help you gain some knowledge in woodworking and guitarbuilding.

works like a charm
I bought this cus I'm not familiar with string instruments, especially electrical. DYI caught my attention directly. My home studio is most for experimental sound pieces a. To see the inside and how everything is put together and that you do it yourself gives a more profound understanding to the instrument, it is personal.
It is super easy to put this together, the manual is somewhat clear, not IKEA clear but more than enough. Before putting it together you have the option to do a paint job on the raw wood.
IF Thomann group sees this review, you can put in some more technical and musical theory into the manual. For example Maybe that's a stupid idea but Im all for those.
I can't talk about pros and cons due to my limited knowledge about guitars but I suppose there is for those who are into it, but for a layman it is ok-good.
Pros would be the customisations of painting it. Cons there is no tuner included, for those who don't own one.

Good value for money
My ST-Style kit arrived quickly, didn't pose any problems assembling and its quality overall is above my expectations. Now i don't expect a Fender custom shop result from this kit, but more like a fun thing to assemble and paint myself and as such it is brilliant! It also sounded better than expected in spite of the not so brilliant strings (That should be color coded btw)
All in all a good buy!

En bra grund.
Min recension kan vara lite konstig då jag egentligen bara använde mig av hals och kropp och hade resten på hyllan redan.
Men sånt jag kollar på som är viktigt ändå.
¤ Bra passform mellan hals och kropp
¤ Fin rak hals utan vassa band
Men den är en helt fantastiskt prisvärd grund att lära sig bygga gitarr på.
Bygg ihop den som den är och uppgradera efter hand.

Prisvärt och kul.
Köpte detta kit när jag var sugn på att börja spela gitarr, perfekt för att lära sig hur intrumentet är uppbyggt.
Låter bra när man väl justerat in allt bra.
Det enda negativa var dem förborrade hålen som inte riktigt stämde på vissa ställen.

A must for the creative guitarist!
Unfortunately there's no lefty version of any of the guitars or bases (I would have loved that) so I bought the Strat making it Jimi Hendrix style. Easy to build, good instructions, and for the price its sounds quite okey!!

Oväntat bra :)
Superlätt kit med hyggligt ljud och skön att spela på efter lite inställningar, jag brände min med gasol (för att få lite mer struktur i träet) och oljade med kokt linolja som jag slipade in med 1200-papper. Därefter torkade jag gitarren och dagen efter så vaxade jag den med bivax. Blev super! OBS! Kan vara beroendeframkallande.......

Bra byggsett för den okunnige
Köpte detta sett så jag har en gitarr som jag kan göra lite småpill med. Lärde mig mycket om gitarrbygge när jag satte ihop gitarren. Kommer troligtvis köpa ett till sett från HB någon gång :)
OBS. provmontera halsen innan så att den verkligen passar. Det gjorde inte min, men hade redan då lackat kroppen så kunde inte skicka tillbacks settet.
