Like grandma?s cookies.....
Ordering the Legend 1218 speaker after reading the review of a Danish soul guitarist and other reviews stating the warm sound.....
Tested it yesterday with a fairly surprised horn section. We agreed to the rich sound driven by the new VOX mv 50 Clean. (Playing fender strat.)
Told (asked very polite) my wife to look out for the Thomann box......."Ohh it came yesterday" AAAHHHHHH.
As I work for a construction company with own wood shop it came naturally making a speaker box from 19mm MDF with proportion 2 x 3 x 4 (h x d x l). Without any covering or finish at all I took it to rehearsal.
It needed about an hour of medium volume playing before it was softened in suspension and the cone begun to travel.... then I had to take down the volume with 30-40%.
Sweet like grandma?s cookies. Warm heavy bottom, kind of flat mid and not without briliance at the top. And with flat mid I mean in a nice way; as a 12" broadband speaker should sound! And the price then.
Playing soul with a smile that?s gonna last for a while now!
Good luck with your experience!
