I've had this pedal for a few month and slowly became my go-to distortion pedal for rhytm, both for single coils and humbuckers.

Your tone, but louder.

Clear, transparent and pristine. The overdrive it produces is cool if you got a "high headroom" tube preamp or a very clean channel, but realistically you buy a Klone for the trebly treble boost with raw volume.

Also the newer TC "matchbox" size is appreciated, the tank pedals are great but the pedalboard was mighty heavy after a while, so kudos for size reduction.

The Fat switch is ...meh? If you play strats with single coils it might be worth it but humbuckers and Fat enabled is mudtown territory, good if you like some grungey "lol my guitar is out of tune but I am still gonna hit tritones" sound but for the purposes of solo or lead tones keep it off, if you want heavier high strings get thicker ones, the Fat switch won't make them pop out.

Small Klon Clone

Bought this as I was interested in a Clone style pedal. It’s transparent, is capable of a clean boost but can also rip quite nicely. The fat switch is nice, specially with single coils. And even with a bridge P90 pickup, gives it a lot warmth.

Lots of tones to discover, it’s always on. Only small downside is its size, it could have been a bit bigger imo. But ofcourse, that’s personal preference.

Can’t beat this one

It’s my first Klon-style overdrive and it became my favourite OD in no time.
It does that Klon-thing which is quite unique compared to my other drive pedals. Works as advertised!
The Fat-switch is a really cool addition and works well with my Telecaster. The overdrive sound is actually quite a bit darker than I expected, but there’s more than enough range on the treble knob to compensate. Also: it works really well with other ODs, distortions and fuzzes. I love to stack the Zeus.
Maybe one downside for some players to be aware of: the effect is only engaged after the footswitch is released (and not when it’s pressed down). That might be inconvenient for gigging etc, but since I only play in my living room it doesn’t botter me. Besides it’s the same type of switch as on other pedals from TC Electronic in this range, so I knew that. Plus: the price of thing is great.
I had to wait a looooong time for it to arrive as it was out of stock when I ordered it. But Thomann’s service was great again: kept me posted and as soon as they had a fresh batch they sent me one immediately.
