Amazing old school distortion

Sounds amazing if you're not looking for something super modern. In my case I play old stuff and it really nails most of the sounds I wanted. The "modern" mode sounds nice, but you shouldn't get it if all you're after is a modern sound.

Perfect distortion

I can get all the distortion I need from this tiny pedal. All the way to fuzz, but without the flabbiness. And it has the original Rat sound if you want it, but my preferred setting is with more mids.

der perfekte RAT-Clone (für mich)

Ich bin eigentlich kein Fuzz-Fan aber das Pedal hat mich überzeugt.

Wie üblich für ein Wampler-Pedal bekommt man praktisch den Original-Sound + Variationen davon.

Hier mehr Gain (in 2 Stufen), was ich persönlich nicht brauche. Der andere Schalter macht den Sound aber etwas tighter und der macht das Pedal für mich zu einem Dauergast auf dem Board.

Einziger Wermutstropfen sind die kleinen Drehregler + Schalter aber wenn die Einstellung einmal gefunden ist muss ich da ja nicht mehr ran.

Das Pedal ist sehr gut verarbeitet, vor allem die Poti Knöpfe sind super stabil und stylisch. Was mir (bei allen Wampler Minipedalen, die ich kenne) nicht gefällt ist die schlecht lesbare Beschriftung.
Zu den Reglern des Ratsbane muss man nicht viel sagen: Volume, Distortion und Filter (High Cut) wie beim Original.
Zusätzlich hat Brian Wampler noch einen Switch für mehr Gain und einen Switch für ein tighteres Voicing integriert.
Der Sound ist gut (für mein empfinden ist das Original besser).
Das "Bonus-Voicing" ist auch sehr brauchbar - auf's erste nicht gleich erkennbar anders aber beim spielen doch deutlich zu spüren.
Die 2 höheren Gainstufen brauche ich nicht bei einer RAT.......
Fazit - als platzsparendes Pedal absolut empfehlenswert.
