The best choice for a living room environment

I keep a handful of instruments out in our living room at all times. This stand is great. For a start, it will keep my guitars safe, the stand is very stable. Unlike some other stands, it will not waver if I put the instrument down at a less-than-perfect angle. Still, for me, even more important is how nice it looks in our living room environment.
My spouse usually isn’t thrilled by all my music stuff, but since the arrival of this stand, I have been told more than once how nice my
vintage electrics look. This alone is worth the price and more. Mine is the oak version, I couldn’t be happier.

Quality Stand

I nearly didn't buy this because of the star rating...then I actually read the reviews and saw it was lower than I liked because one guy was annoyed he had to assemble it....not sure how he thought it would arrive!
Anyway, took no time to put together, looks unreal, wife is worried that there is space for extra guitars...

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis meiner Meinung nach katastrophal

Was habe ich gesucht? Einen kompakten Gitarrenständer, in den viele Instrumente, auch solche mit Nitrolackierung, passen und der nett im Wohnzimmer aussieht. Der String Swing erfüllt für einen mega-stolzen Preis angeblich genau diese Anforderungen. Auf der Website des Herstellers habe ich dann später erfahren, dass das Holz für den Ständer regional und nachhaltig geerntet wird.

Der Versand erfolgte wie immer in Rekordgeschwindigkeit. Beim Auspacken finden man dann Folgendes... einen Bausatz (!!!! für fast 200 Euro!!!!), der den Teilen eines Möbelstücks eines bekannten skandinavischen Herstellers nicht so ganz unähnlich sieht. Alles stramm in viel Plastikfolie eingeschweißt. Wie war das noch einmal mit der Nachhaltigkeit? Irgendwo findet man dann auch eine Aufbauanleitung und erfährt dort, dass man den Ständer nicht nur komplett zusammenschrauben, sondern an einigen Stellen auch verleimen muss.

Davon steht leider in der Artikelbeschreibung auf der Thomann-Website kein Wort, sondern man sieht, unter anderem, ein Bild des geklappten Ständers. Ich bin davon ausgegangen, dass dies auch der Zustand ist, in dem das Teil angeliefert wird. Hab ichs eigentlich schon erwähnt? … wir reden hier von fast 200 Euro. Ich habe lange überlegt, ob ich den Swing String auf der Stelle zurückgebe, habe mich dann aber doch entschlossen, ihn aufzubauen. Man braucht so ein Dreiviertelstündchen und am besten ein zweites paar Hände. Das Ergebnis ist ein Gitarrenständer, der wirklich sehr kompakt ist, in dem 6 Gitarren stabil stehen und der prima zu meinem Wohnzimmerfußboden passt, zahlt dafür aber einen immensen Preis, der meiner Meinung nach für einen Bausatz nicht gerechtfertigt ist.
