Super easy to fit and fix
These Shure Ear Pads worked perfectly for my slowly breaking headphones (SRH440). It was an easy and uncomplicated to mount.

Amazing replacement for ATH-50x pads!
A friend of mine gave me his old ATH-50x. It had dried up and flaky earpads so I wanted to get those replaced. I started looking around the internet and was recommended these.
It was easy to remove the old earpads by gently pulling them off and then cleaning the edges. Then I applied the new earpads which slipped on very easily.
They work great with the ATH-50x and look pretty much the same as the factory stock ones! Comfortable and are a great fit for your ears. =)

Comfy!
Got these for my SRH-440s. They're worth the money. The phones fit better, are more comfortable, isolate noise a little better, and creak somewhat less with these pads.
As if that weren't enough: It may just be wishful thinking, it may be the better isolation, it may be the new plug I had to install on my headphone cable at the same time (having smashed and bent the other one somehow), or it may be the foam covering the driver (it's thicker than on the stock pads, which probably provides ever-so-slight attenuation of higher frequencies, or something), but I could swear my headphones even SOUND better with these pads. And I didn't have the problems other people seem to have had with installation ? it takes a second and it's a little fiddly, but I read stories from people who said they failed for a half-hour to fit these over the phones, and that didn't happen at all.
So, yeah, recommended. I enjoy these.

Improves the drumming experience for Shure SRH440 users
I upgraded drumming headphones from the Vic Firth SIH-1 to the Shure SRH440, and was recommended on forums to use these on the Shure headphones to achieve better sound isolation which is quite crucial for drummers. Effectively, these pads to improve the isolation of the headphones , allowing you to turn down backing tracks and still hear a good mix of drums and track. However, if you're on a tight budget, the ear pads on the original Shure SRH440 are still good for drumming and offer a pretty decent level of sound attenuation.

ATH-50X Alternatives
I use these ear pads as replacements for my Audio Technica ATH-M50X. The original ear pads began to peel and flake. These feel significantly better quality and are super comfortable to wear.

Not the best pads
I bought this pads for Fostex T40RP-MK3. Not good combination.
Pads are easy to install. But sound not better than stock T40 pads.

Ear pads are one of the most important parts of headphones. No native ear pads - no headphones.
I really love the Shure 840 so I stocked up on a set of ear pads.

Replacement for Shure SRH440 Ear Pads
I bought these ear pads to replace the stock ones on my Shure SRH 440 headphones. Although these pads are designed for the SRH 840, they fit on the 440 and are easy to mount. They sit a little loose, but they do not fall off. I use my headphones at home to listen to musik, for mixing and live at the FOH, so they have to take some beating every once in a while. After using them for almost one year, no wear can be seen. The new ear pads have increased the comfort of the SRH 440 to a new level compared to the stock pads. I can recommend them as an upgrade for the SRH 440.
