Rtom Moongel Damper Pads Clear

finally a product that substitutes all those more all less unsucessfull solutions when it comes to head damping.
Basically, you can move anywhere anytime you want , you are not stranded as with taped solutions, and what is best , it can be cleaned with soap and water and is clean and offcourse sticky again. This really looks like a one time purchase that could serve you years to come.

Moongel works perfectly for a ringy snare, 1 or 2 gels and there's no any unwanted sounds.

I use them on kick, and floor tom too.

They get dirty pretty fast but they're endlessly reusable after washing!
Just get some dish soap/water, wash them and air dry, and you're ready to go, they're as sticky as if they were new!

Works perfectly, I experimented a lot with different brands, shapes and colors of moon gels and this is a good one but not my favorite because they get dirty very easily, not that easy to clean them and the little box it comes in is very fragile.
I forever recommend the bigger pack by Slapkatz. Whichever color you like.

If you are an OCD drummer this is a great way to control your sound and keep everything tidy. The size of the pads is quite nice and thanks to the shape it can be cut up into smaller pads easily. The box is great to help maintain the pads clean and lasting much longer during rehearsal and touring.

All the dampening of gaffer tape with none of the sticky residue. If you're looking to cut down on overtones in your sound, then these are a great little addition to your drum bag.

If you tune your drums correctly then there is no need for more dampening. I use this as a fast solution - just throw them on drums. If they get dirty just wash them with warm water and soap. It won't be as fresh as new, but that will help with stickiness.

I've used the Moongel blue products in live situations for a few years and always slightly disliked the fact that they were blue.
No longer a problem now that they have made the same product but clear...

Still the same durability and application, still washable and completely reusable, still a handy product for those times when just a little damping is required

For those times where the acoustics in the room seem to amplify the booming overtones... Do yourself and the sound engineer a favour and slap one of these babies on. 9 times out of 10 it does the job, without having to (de)tune your carefully tuned drums just to deal with room acoustics. Good stuff.

Does what it says it does, no more tape on drums or cymbals. Cheap, reliable, useful, washable.

I bought these pads to damp my drums a little, but the drums don't sound any lower in volume and they have exactly the same decay time they had before. On the other hand, I still find myself using these pads a lot, mainly on toms, because they really help controlling the overtones and ressonances. So, they are usefull tone-shaping tools, but they are not damping tools at all.
