Surprisingly good for what it is

I've bought it as a funny little instrument, prank of some sort, if I may. Yet it shown itself being pretty educational. You'll learn to perfect vibrato, you'll learn how to play notes without seeing frets or similar markers and it's fun to use since it looks ridiculous.

Switching between voicings is easy, they are different and if you connect the instrument via line out people around you will even hear it. There's not much sense of using it unplugged in case you want to use it as a serious thing.

In general if you know what you're getting you're going to love it, in case you don't know what otamatone is, just go for the cheaper version.

Incredibly fun to play!

Bought this as a present for a colleague of mine, but after opening it up and seeing how fun it is I'm deffinitely getting another one for myself! The amount of laughs you can have at a party with this thing is incredible. Superb product!

Ich weiß nicht, ob dieses Ding eine ernsthafte Bewertung braucht, aber ich notiere hier einfach ein paar Dinge, bevor ich es wieder zurückschicke:

Die Verarbeitung lässt zu wünschen übrig: Der Mechanismus etwa, mit dem man den Plastikkopf zusammendrückt, um den typischen Filtereffekt zu erzielen, ist schwergängig und quietscht leicht. Man müsste ihn evtl. ölen, aber das lasse ich lieber.

Der Gurtring ist ein sehr billiger Blechring, der beim Spielen am Kunststoffgehäuse klappert. Das hört man auch auf vielen YouTube-Videos. Vielleicht gehört es ja zum unverwechselbaren Sound. Ich halte es allerdings für schlechte Verarbeitung.

Die angeblich mit dem Gerät zu verwendende App ist in meinem iTunes-Store nicht verfügbar, auch mehrfache Google-Suchläufe haben mich nicht weitergebracht. Das einzige Tutorial-Video, das die App erklärt, ist auf Japanisch. Daher habe ich den Namen der App leider nicht herausfinden können.

Und schließlich: Die Gebrauchsanweisung ist nur auf Japanisch. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich mich darüber mal in einer Rezension beschweren müsste. Aber eigentlich ist das Instrument, wenn man es so nennen will, selbsterklärend.

Fazit: Wer kultige YouTube-Videos mit schlecht intonierenden Coverversionen aufnehmen möchte, kann sich auch die "Deluxe"-Variante kaufen.

Acheté sur un coup de tête après avoir vu des vidéos hilarantes sur internet, l'Otamatone n'a pas su me convaincre sur la durée et occupe aujourd'hui un coin de mon appartement, sans que je puisse savoir s'il boude ou s'il est puni.

Il est certes possible d'en sortir des mélodies satisfaisantes avec de l'entraînement mais le son n'est pas à la hauteur du prix. Le haut-parleur est digne d'un jouet pour enfant.
C'est dommage que l'effet "wah-wah" de l'ouverture de bouche soit purement mécanique et qu'il ne ne soit pas intégré par le HP directement.
Je n'ai pas pu connecter le jouet à mon téléphone ni sortir d'autres sons.

En somme, j'ai passé quelques moments agréables, drôles, bon enfants et je ne regrette pas mon achat, je n'en attendais pas grand chose à vrai dire. Je pense que c'est ce qu'il faut avoir en tête avant d'investir dans un rire éphémère.
