A leap of faith - into an amazing violin

I was looking for a level up violin after many years with my great grandfather’s hand-me-down from a century ago.
Stumbled across this one which ticked all my boxes: boxwood accessories, stradivari model, heart-shaped pegs.
To be honest the picture on the website is a bit far off - but I gotta say I am very positively surprised by the actual violin. The one I received has darker color than the picture, somewhere in between reddish and brownish color. The front also has a bit flaming going on, making the color mercurial and ever changing under different lighting. The flaming on the back is good but not dramatic, matches the well with the subdued color scheme. As for the sound, I think it’s worthy of the “Master” categorization. All four string is balanced in volume and responding well. I’m looking forward to play it and hopefully it will sound even better after some time.
Finally I am happy with my leap of faith by ordering (this one is not cheap for me) a violin online which I have never played nor seen in person - at least I can change my mind within buying from here :)

Eine Geige nach meinen Vorstellungen

Mitte März 21 habe ich die Geige gekauft. Allerdings hatte ich mir die Mühe gemacht, ein passendes Instrument durch Probespielen vor Ort in Burgebrach auszuwählen. Vorab lobend erwähnen möchte die sehr engagierte Vorbereitung meines Probetermins durch die Mitarbeiterin des Verkaufsteams!! Nach vorgegebenen Kriterien hatte man mir 8 Geigen zurechtgelegt.

Die Fahrt und der Zeitaufwand haben sich jedenfalls gelohnt. Meine Wahl fiel schließlich auf die Sandner Master de luxe. Die Geige besticht durch einen gleichmäßig volumigen Ton, der bei wohliger Wärme gleichwohl sehr sonor klingt. Das gilt eigentlich in allen Lagen.
Die Evah Pirazzi Gold Besaitung tut ihres dazu. Klangunterstützend wirkt noch, wenn man einen guten Holzbogen spielt.

Alles in allem ein gute Wahl für mein neues Intrument, mit dem ich sehr zufrieden bin. Auch die Optik (Farbe/Lackierung) entspricht meiner Vorliebe.
