What it is ?
it is simply a sticker, well-designed and high-quality thing, made of durable material. It is easy to instal on the violin fingerboard, you do not need any adhesive, you do not need remove strings to install it. The entire sticker is transparent - you can see only the colored stripes. From a distance it is almost invisible.
Do you need it ?
Of course - for those who play the violin well - such things do not need to, but for beginners, i think - it's just necessary. I teach children to play the violin, so with stickers on - is much easier to communicate with the student.
How to remove it ?
I do not tried to remove the following label off, so I can't say whether it is complicated. But it's just a sticker, I think everything will be fine :)

Great for beginners
A superb alternative to using tape. You can attach this to the violin fingerboard with strings attached but it is preferable to remove the strings before applying this sticker. Make sure that the length from the the top of your fingerboard (top nut) to the bridge i.e. string length is 325mm. This way, you will get the correct intonation for your violin. It's easy to remove with no residue left on the fingerboard.

Does what supposed to
I used it for sometime. It's easy to put on your violin even with the strings on. After sometime I ended up removing it because I was relying on it visually which turned out as a bad habit.

Made learning and playing Infinitely easier.
if it wasn't for this product, I'd still be guessing and judging by ear what notes where the right ones, Of course playing by ear makes a better musician, but that's no easy task on a completely new instrument.

AMAZING!
okay so i got my 4/4 violin and i did not know where to put my fingers and everything, because i am learning by myself. i got this little thing here, and i immediately started making a lot more sense in my playing and understanding the instrument. this here is absolutely amazing. and when you take it off it doesn't leave marks of glue and things like that on the instrument.. recommend 5/5

Never played the violin
I've never played the violin before I bought one at Thomann (I wanted a cello but.. well the price is a bit steep for just trying something new..). I've been playing keyboards and guitar for quite some time but I couldn't get my fingers right with the violin. Until I got this little piece of tape. It still sounds crap when I play but at least I can tell where my fingers should have been instead. Only thing wrong with it is that the sun glares so it makes it hard to see the coloured stripes. Easily corrected though, just turn away from the sun, just turn away and play on.

It does what is says
As a guitar player, this one helps me a lot in learning the basics. Just be sure that you "install" properly. (and of course you need a trained ear)

The Begin
If you are a violin student and practice everyday this fret board-marker will help you a lot. The precise position of your fingers tip on the violin are very important to produce the perfect notes. In the beginning this will help you to memories the finger tip position and in a matter of two week you will master it for ever and "First Frets Violin" has made it job and perhaps you might no need it any more. Oh yes it is a nice thing to have.
