Very versatile and powerful guitar!

First of all - I think Squier has nailed it with this one. Beautiful roasted maple neck with satin finish, well polished frets, no sharp fret ends, nice high-output alnico pickups and switching that makes this guitar a true workhorse. I was surprised by the quality of the build and the palette of 10 different sounds I can get out of that guitar. I was seriously surprised how great the setup was out of the box - which rarely was the case with other Squiers I used to unbox. Pickups split extremely well to single coil sound and I think everyone can find at least few useful tones here. The colour - shoreline gold - is much better than in the pictures and I love the matching headstock. The only complaints I had was the tuner keys quality (Graph-Tech Ratio though were a spot on direct-fit replacement) and when you open the cavity you'll notice that it hasn't been shielded at all - no conductive paint, etc. and unshielded cables and hot pickups made it a bit noisier than my other instruments but shielding on my own helped a lot. Also as you might imagine - pots, capacitor and jack aren't the highest quality - so probably worth considering replacing them, considering the price of this beautiful instrument.
The neck with it's scale is very playable and I was happy to see well polished frets that made bending strings enjoyable right out of the box.
That's not a "true to original" Jag - but if you're looking for a powerful guitar that's easier to dial in and more modern - I think it's a no brainer and definitely a keeper in my guitar collection.

Naczytałem się o tej gitarze sporo pozytywnych recenzji, ale trochę zawiodła ona moje oczekiwania. Pierwsza rzecz - progi miały takie ostre krawędzie, że dopóki ich nie przeszlifowałem miałem pocięte ręce. Druga rzecz to pickupy - jak na humbuckery, to są jednak dosyć słabe. Nazwa Atomic to trochę pomyłka. Oczywiście możliwość zabawy z odwracaniem fazy etc jest fajna, ale wielkiej mocy i powalającego brzmienia ta gitara nie ma i jest najwyżej przyzwoita.

I did not know what to expect!

First impressions 'out of the box' were fine!
The Shoreline Gold finish was WAY darker compared to the stock photo's! It was definitely ready to play, I only lowered the action to my preference.

That being said, the guitar didn't grow on me first.
The pickup didn't sound as "hot" as I thought it would for a humbucker, overall it sounded really bright and clear which is probably part of the appeal for Jaguar-fans! :)
But, I was already tempted to put a different pickup in the bridge that would be more suitable with more gain. When I switched between this Jaguar and my Les Paul on rehearsals, I had to push my amp WAY more for a similar gain-tone. Once I put Beefy Slinky's (11-54) strings on it, it started to grow on me!

The sound options are great! It makes you want to try out different tones! The quality and feel is really great as well.

It's not my favourite guitar, but I fell in love with this seeing it for the first time. It's my first Jaguar and I really wanted it because of the pickup configuration and the roasted maple neck!

Lovely to play, versatile tones.

Very nice finish and feels lovely to play. The tones available cover a lot of ground. The Humbucker tone is lovely and thick. The split single coil mode is nice but not as gritty as a standard Jag in my experience, still has a kick though. All in all, a beautiful guitar and didn't need a setup out of the box.
