Durable and dry snare head
If you want a good smack and little overtones, this is a good choice. Probably won't need any extra muffling and two plies give the head more durability than a single ply. Personally, I've ever had any quality issues with the dozens of Evans heads I've used over the years.
I'd recommend this for heavier music styles and heavier hitters who don't want to use extra muffling and know they're after a dry sound. Muffled heads like these are easier to tune, as you don't get much in terms of overtones or extra sounds. And if you're using a dry head like this, you probably won't have to replace the head very soon, if the sound you're after is more about attack, smack and crack, and less about tone and sustain.

No more moongels!
I really like this drumhead, it gives the possibility to reduce the overtones with a short but "natural" decay without using any moongel or tape especially if you tune this drum high or medium-high, and if you tune this low you can achieve a fattier sound that's so popular these days.
It's not the thoughest drumhead on the market but it will definitely last you some time, especially if you don't play any hard style of music.
My favourite drumhead so far since i tune my snare really high and i don't like having any muffling on it.

Perfect
Gets rid of some of the annoying ring snares sometimes have, whilst still delivering a rich tone, in many different tunings
also great for brushwork!

Nice drum head, recommended to try.
This is a nice drum head and really makes a big difference when resonating rings are a particular problem with the snare drum. The only thing I wasn't that satisfied with is that the head is very smooth and does not offer the texture that say a Remo coated ambassador might have. I wanted to use this head on my snare drum but ended up putting it on my 16 floor tom. Evans G2's sound better on my 14x6.5 snare drums.

Great head with strong atack and fast sustain
I'm using this head on a Mapex black panther, it sounds great both on high and low tunings, the attack is strong and it has a moderate amount of sustain. I'm using it with a lower tuning and it sounds great with a well defined body and huge attack.

Evans
Evans drum skins are top quality. The sound is perfect, they are durable and last long. I would highly recommend Evans over and above any other skin brand.
As for Snare batters - simply from personal flavour in sound I definitely prefer the ST and HD dry skins. This Genera is great, but I find the sound a little hard to tame for my taste.
Still, Evans quality is amazing.
My favourites by far :-)

Excellent for reducing metallic ring tone!
I bought this to replace the factory head for a DW Collectors Nickel over Brass Snare.
The result is tight and crisp, yet remaining full when tuned that way.
The Genera removes approx. the same amount of overtone that a single moon gel achieves, but in a way that's more in keeping with the drum's original tone.
6 months in - Robust and still looking good.
Excellent.

A Steel Snare's Life Partner
I have never looked back from the Evans Genera HD heads for my old, 2nd hand Pearl Steel Snare. It sounds absolutely studio ready every time I tune up one of these heads, old or new, they retain tone and attack unlike other heads I've used in the past, and help produce firecracker tones when executed with a rimshot, really great heads.

Perfect snare head!
I bought this head because I was replacing all my stock heads and it is great! Produces a great sound.
The feel of it is like a lot of other heads, however I tune mine tight and this has a nicer rebound.
The holes are a great feature, as they make the sound drier. I still use a moongel as I try to get a very dry sound. If you bought this by accident and you want a bit of resonance I don't think you will be displeased!
The head looks great, I think the evans logo is very clean, and the coating hasn't gotten marked up yet even though I am a heavy hitter.
Perfect head for me and my desired sound, I don't think I will buy another head!
