it’s decent synth for few hours of fun

build quality is very good, the design is perfect for kids and it will be great fun for few hours with your kid. But even my little one got bored of it rather quickly as there are not many possibilities. Yes you can play around with a sequencer and there are thousands of different notes and patterns you can make, but by the time you did a hundred of them, you will get sick of the same boring presset. My recommendation for producers of this box is to upgrade it with a choice of sounds too.

Great but fragile

I purchased the Dato Duo with the intention of letting my 2-year old discover the world of music with the advantage of a "no awful noise" approach since this has a sequencer which allows to stay in tempo and use only "tuned" notes.

The overall experience is great but as always, kids will try and grab the synth, move it around and so the power plug is now super sketchy and I'll probably have to open up the synth and re-solder the port in place as it currently shuts down and reboots as soon as the cable moves ever so slightly which has relegated this to staying on a shelf for months...

Im Grunde erfüllt der Synth schon die Erwartungen, die man haben kann - also für Spaß von Klein und Groß.

Der Sound ist etwas blechern, aber bei Anschluss an einen Aktivlautsprecher ganz ok - Das ist den Kindern ziemlich egal - aber unsereins ist da schon etwas empfindlicher. Die synth engines sind auch ganz brauchbar und geben auch einiges her - von fett bis fein. Was mich ab und zu genervt hat, dass meine Kiddies quasi ununterbrochen auf den Start-Stopp-Knopf drückten, wenn gerade ein Netter groove läuft. Sicherlich kein Designfehler...sondern klarer Bedienfehler ;D

Anschluss an z.B. Pocket Operator läuft problemlos...synchronisiert ohne Probleme. Was ich etwas Schade finde ist, dass es kein Line-in gibt, um eventuell ein zweites Gerät einzuspeisen, d.h. man braucht dann doch noch einen Mixer...

Man sich natürlich fragen warum ein zweites Gerät gebraucht wird...hat ja synth und drums. Leider ist letzteres nicht sequenzierbar und nur auf spontane Finger-drum-trigger angewiesen. Schade, ein paar selektierbare Drumsequenzen hätten es vielleicht auch getan.

Im Großen und Ganzen trotzdem ein empfehlenswertes Spielzeug...eventuell etwas überteuert, aber bei Kindern und bei sich selbst macht man ja gerne ausnahmen ;)

.. si tienes el dinero, regálaselo a tu(s) hij@(s).. puede que incluso lo acabes tocando tú más que ell@s..

Genial idea, genial acabado (incluso estético), genial sonido.. y mira que hay apps realmente buenas para que los niños comiencen a asimilar conceptos musicales básicos (¿Bandimal?).. esto va 3 pasos por delante.. y el precio de Thomann no tiene rival..
