This latches are excellent!!!
I made myself a case for my Microkorg and needed some latches, rounded corners and a handle. Bought it all at the same time and it gave my box a really professional look!!! The latches are really sturdy and can't open naturally, I mean, it can only be opened when you want it to. It was of my knowledge that this didn't come with a lock, which would be nice, but for the price, it is a really good deal. Be aware that the product doesn't come with screws nor instructions to mount (although there is not much to know to assemble this). You can mount them with any type of screw, although I would recommend getting the proper screws, if you are looking for a really finished and professional look. However you can totally install them with normal screws :)
Pros:
- Really sturdy
- Provide a professional look
- Easy to install
Cons:
- They come without screws
- A little bit too big for my box, but it was my bad to not check correctly the measures!
I would definitely recommend this latches, both for building something from scratch and to replace an existing piece :)

It dows the job!
I needed one of these for my Ovation case from the 90s. Installed it right beside the broken original one and it works.

hard to find these latches. Thomann has them and at a very low cost. i suggest buying extras.

These catches are among the best I've ever had. They are sturdy, rugged and simply cannot be destroyed in everyday's use. But notice: the catches are delivered without any screws or instructions on how to install them. So prepare to manage that yourself ;)

Good quality catches
We buy hundreds of these items a year and I can honestly say that they haven't ever let us down. These aren't cheap, flimsy catches at all, but decent, well made catches with a strong construction and they look good too.

Not like the real thing
Penn Elcom is the industry standard for all things flightcase, and I have been using it to build cases for probably 20 years now. Occasionally I use other brands and they remind one why to stick with the original. Not bad for the price, but hard to manipulate, they lack the smoothness.
