Wavebone Headquarter Wood Studio Desk

I have positive, but also not-so positive feelings about this desk.
First the positive ones:
- Very stable
- Sturdy built
- It looks beautiful as well.
Than the negative ones:
- The rack ears are pre-drilled holes for the rack screws, it doesn't use bolts or nuts like other brands do. On top of that, the screws are smaller (M5?) than the standard M6 ones.
- Screws are blak (=ok) but the washers are white ?
- The rack space is also just a fraction too small: the metal front plates of the rack units scratches the wood panels on the bottom and the top of the desk. If it was only 0.5mm smaller the units would not fit! It's really tight now! This does not look that nice as a result :-(
- Because of that, the bolts heads touches the wood panels.
- The screws heads are a bit too big as well: they come over the front plates of the units on top/below of them. This also makes that you have to watch out which unit to fix first otherwise the other units cannot be put in place of the already too tight place. It works, but with some effort.
- the rack units aren't "sunken" into the mounting frame of the 19" units which means that the front plates lie on top of the surface of the wood and metal side frames which is not a nice view because of the different thicknesses of the various front plates and the big bolts heads.
- A metal supporting bar on the back is not on the right hight which makes that you cannot place larger units in it without rearranging them! I had to completely rearrange my units so that they aren't that handy in use anymore compared to my previous desk ! It was hard for the units to connect the cables ! I consider this as a major design flaw!
- The goldish "Wavebone" logo on the right side of the desk was not fixed nicely straight but tilted (and not a little!). I had to cut off the plate with a sharp paper blade knife and remount it.
So, great desk but with some missed opportunities!
My points: features 10/10 but some design flaws, finishing: 5/10.
Total: 7,5/10

So desk looks great and very sturdy. Put together in about an hour without any cursing involved.
The bench however is way to low and I'm only 178 tall. Had to adjust my seat to an uncomfortable position. Also hitting the steel pipes with my legs which is also uncomfortable. I had to adjust the whole thing so no more warranty I imagine. So what I did was drill out the hole covered by the plastic casing to be able to screw it tight there, which is actually fine and still sturdy. Also didn't like the setup of the actual board, so I put in some screws myself to create some extra legroom. End result acceptable, but would've liked not having to use my drill.
