I ordered this bridge to replace my old ABR-1 with nylon saddles on my 1970 ES335, since it was one of the only ABR model bridges I could find without a wire that holds the saddles in place. Those are ridiculous.
However, I had ordered the wrong bridge, since this ABM 2500n is an ABR-1 model to mount on Nashville studs. I returned this bridge and ordered the 2500RE, which is the correct one, so be aware!
The ABM bridge is very precisely made and the saddle screws are fixed in the bridge, what makes the need of a 'wire' unnecessary. No more rattle and buzzing of bridge parts! `
If you want to get rid of the bad looking casted Nashville bridges (std on all Gibson guitars since the 90's I think), this one is the way to go. It even includes an extra screw, retainer clip and saddle.
Keep in mind you have to make notches yourself in the saddles ! But that is very easy, take a few old strings, and hammer in a notch with them.
