Darkglass Adam

Home use, for recording and practicing. I will use it live as soon as possible!
I don't need modulation effect, so this pedal is the only one I need, and may replace my Tech21 Bass Flyrig.

First of all, you have a compressor, with 5 presets (on the rotary footswitch) and a "one knob" setting. It is a very simple and very nice sounding compressor. 10/10.

Then you have two separates paths: The clean one, with a multiband compressor (you can't modify anything but you can blend it with the "dirty" path.
On the dirty channel you can choose your distorsion type. No warm OD, only high gain effects from distorsion to brutal fuzz! You can then choose your Cab IR among many available (with the app).
After mixing the clean and dirty path, you can apply an EQ thanks to a wonderful touch EQ!

Everything can be saved easily (3 slots).

You also have a weird tuner, but it works fine!

And, it's also an audio interface: I love it! Two channels so you can record you clean an processed signal!

My only Cons would be the lack of low gain OD: In fact, you can blend a very small amount of high gain distorsion with your clean sound: alone, it may sound like crap, but in the mix, it works great!

For me, the best all in one bass effect of the moment!

Der Adam ist ein Knaller, absolutes Mega Teil.

In 25 Jahren Bass hab ich noch nie so ein flexibles Pedal/Preamp/interface/DI erlebt.

Die Sounds sind absolut brauchbar von 60ties Vintage zu ultramodern clean über Höllenzerre und zurück.

Es gibt fast nichts was das Gerät nicht kann.

Das Einzige was mich stört ist der Multiband Kompressor auf dem Clean Kanal, er klingt zwar gut, mir persönlich ist er aber zu dick, unter 100Hz legt der nochmal gut 2-3 dB drauf.
Dröhnt zwar nie, mir ist es aber zu viel.

Lösung dafür ist wieder mal das Blend Poti:
Zerre deaktivieren, den Kompressor der Zerre regeln wie man möchte, und mischen bis es passt.

Ich hatte den Adam bisher als usb Interface, Headphone preamp, preamp vor der Endstufe und als Bodentreter im Einsatz.

Ich kann ihn nur empfehlen, als Tretmine würd ich aber dazu raten die Cab Sim prinzipiell auszuschalten, sonst wird es schnell zu extrem mit den Sounds.

Ansonsten klare Kaufempfehlung.
