We had recently bought the Roland TD-17KVX2 E-Drums and were finding the beater that came with the kick pedal was making an awful lot of noise and felt bad. This quiet beater has made all the difference and feels much better.

Feels quieter but...

I've tried this directly over triple mesh head and after one song I've started seing some slight black marks over the mesh. So I added Evans EQ Patch EQPB2. Overal even without the patch the attack is reduced with this beater, the tone is lower but the overal dB's are similar, maybe 1 or 2 dB's lower than the plastic beater with the same Evans patch.
So far I like those beaters, their feel is good while playing. Let's see how long they will last as the cost is pretty high compared to other brands, I suppose they should last longer for that price. And yes I understand they are designed speciffically for the KDQ-8 kick drum which is has a rubbery head so the patch I'm using may affect longetivity in a bad way.
