Great for its purpose

My instrument is fitted with old fashioned ball joint lever mechanisms which have become worn out over the years. Having previously used some lighter petroleum distillates for lubricating these joints, I've always found the results unsatisfactory. The action was jittery, noisy, had noticeable play and adjusting the screws holding the joint together either made it too loose or it would completely seize.

The JM Nr. 15 was designed exactly for my use case. Applying the product resulted in much smoother and quieter lever action without a compromise of reduction in speed. Even the play has lessened and I could tighten the screws further.

The lifespan of my old instrument is extended thanks to this lubricant.

Die Bezeichnung "Spacefiller Oi" hat mich doch neugierig gemacht, wo doch die Mechanik des dritten Ventils meiner Deutschen Trompete bei Betätigung ein klapperndes Geräusch von sich gab. Nun - das Öl ersetzt natürlich nicht den Instrumentenbauer, der den Ventilsitz professionell einpasst. Das Öl ist sehr zähflüssig, wodurch die Ventilmechanik einerseits gut geschmiert wird (besonders bei trockengelaufenen Mechaniken), andrerseits nicht wegläuft und das Instrument verschmiert. Das Klappern hat sich zumindest verringert. Es entsteht ja durch zu viel Spiel senkrecht zur Drehachse. Durch die hohe Viskosität kann sich die Mechanik nicht mehr so leicht im Spiel bewegen, die gewollte Drehbewegung wird hingegen nicht beeinträchtigt. Bitte beachten: Das Öl ist NICHT geeignet zum Schmieren der Ventilbuchsen, nur für die Mechanik bei Blechblasinstrumenten aller Art mit Drehventilen.

Gut für Tuba mkit Drehventilen

Für die Drehventile (nur von Aussen angewand!) meiner Rudolf Meinl Tuba
bestens geeignet. Erstzt für mich das alte Hetman 15 gleichwertig.

Je l'utilise pour graisser les coulisses et pour les axes des palettes. Je préfère largement celle-là (N°15) que la (N°6,5) normalement prévu pour les coulisses. (trop épaisse) Ceci n'est que mon avis.
