Harley Benton Enhanced MP-4MN Natural

All in all, I really like this instrument. The looks with the satin finish are lovely, the neck is easy to play, and the pick-ups make the sound really versatile. With the active electronics I can really put that strenght to the bass I was looking for.

Though it is a lovely bass especially for the price, there is also room for improvement in some areas, mostly on the quality check side. I had to ask for a replacement instrument as the split-coil PU in first one only worked for the top two strings and was mute for the other half. The second one was good electronically, but the rod in the neck needed more than average adjustment according to the luthier I brought it to set it up. He also mentioned that the holes for the string-through the body were not aligned perfectly as well.

I don't know how usual are these, but after the set-up and a string replacement it is now my workhorse bass and I really like it. If you're also into PH pick-up config, but don't want to spend a small country's annual GDP on a Sandberg, this is the best value for your bucks!
