I should begin with saying that I pretty much tried out and played most of the Gibsons from the Original Collection, and while they're really great guitars, there's just something magic going on with these Juniors. They are on another level.
Having played numerous custom shop guitars, my 2021 Junior is easily the best guitar I've played.
Awesome neck, even though not a baseball bat, it has a very nice rounded chunky profile that fits my hand perfectly. It really has that vintage vibe, that I could only find previously on the Reissues.
Mine actually has a one-piece body, which is quite odd, when standards come with two-piece bodies.
Very lightweight, only 3,45 kgs (7 lbs 10 oz ).
Very resonant, this is acoustically one of loudest solidbody electric I've heard.
The P90 sounds perfect, and the volume and tone controls work like a charm. You can dial out tons of sounds if you understand how these beasts work.
Playing through a 2203 halfstack, it just wipes the floor with any other guitar.
The nitro finish is beautiful. Has a great smell.
And the intonation is perfect. Don't be afraid of wraparound bridges.
