Elixir Nanoweb Extra Light Acoustic

This is the first time I'm using light gauge on my acoustic. It is very satisfying to have those string under my fingers. It makes me play more relax and the strings ring freely. The sound is round and full. I used 12-53 and 13-56 Elixirs before and I used to down tune a tone or sometimes two tones to have rich lows. With the light gauge I do somewhat the opposite: regular tuning and transposing my chords to the lower part of the neck around 7th and 8th fret to 12th fret. Something to try to enrich my vocabulary. I recommend.

As the name suggests Elixir! They last long, sound beautiful and give a great feeling to your hands. I would now use a pick on my acoustic cause then it starts to show signs of wear and tear. Other than that have no complaints from these ones!

At the very beginning I was a bit concerned about these strings, because of some negative comments I found down here.
These strings are amazing, specially on the first 3 strings.
Anyway, what I can argue about is a matter of taste.
I was looking for a Beatles-kind-of sound, very bright, smooth, yet balanced, with a bit of extra sustain.
They sound a bit too dry and with no sustain, but once you've plugged your guitar in, you'll be hearing no problem

In my opinion...
Phosphor Bronze or 80/20 Bronze acoustic guitar strings oxidize and gunk up very quickly. They begin to sound dull and "not new" in a relatively short period of time.
These Elixir Nanoweb coated strings do not. They are long lasting and great sounding. They are also very quiet when sliding up or changing chord positions. I think that these qualities make them worth the extra cost.

Put them on one of my acoustics. Just love Elixir strings, the crisp tone, the durability, the ease of play with these strings are all factor that as far as I could be able to experienced, are currently unmatched.
Tried several other brands and coatead/non coated strings. Nothing is like Elixir!!!!

Beautiful look feel and sound. Nothing makes guitars happier than fresh Elixirs!

I enjoy trying out new brands of strings but always come back to the elixir.
These are the best value for money and give a very pleasing sound not the best but certainly the best value for money outlasting normal strings by at least three times

I mean, you get what you pay for and these are just solid, long lasting strings.
Highly recommend them.
