I put these pickups in a Japanese Fretted Jazz Bass to liven up the sound. The stock pickups were really flat, so these added a lot of mid range definition without going active.
For the money, you can't go wrong if you want to give some new life to an old bass.
Love these pickups. Brought my bass to life. Don't let the price fool you, these are top of the line! If you want to fatten up your tone and give your jazz bass some punch these are the pickups for you.

creme is the best colours

I used this kit to upgrade a cheap J-bass, and they gave it a nice mellow tone with great clarity. Especially love the sound from the neck pickup, round and boomy. Combined neck and bridge produce a great "fits everywhere" tone that can fit in any kind of track. Bridge isn't too snappy, so I'm not sure if it would be fit for slap - which isn't to my taste either way. Includes booklet with clear wiring instructions, no problem during install.

Very clear and precise sounding pickups. I have them fitted to a 2016 Mexican Fender Jazz Bass. Versatility is great, I have used them for everything from soul and funk to grunge and metal. Would reccomend

Swapped these for the old fender pickups on my MIJ
jazz bass, 1989 model. They are such an upgrade! Couldn’t believe the sound difference, and the signal output is great. Noiseless too, no humming like the originals. They are slightly taller than the fender pups, but easily fit in the cavity with a little less foam underneath. I updated the pots from 250 to 500 k ones on the two volumes, leaving the tone pot as is. I can now hear the difference as I turn each pickup up, whereas before they were pretty much just on or off. Crème is the best colour, as someone else has put.
