A useful tool with some gimmick features
I have had the Zoom V3 for over a year and used it to record demos. It is quite helpful for generating ideas and I like the sounds you can get, but there is possibly too much spent on the silly features, rather than the core tools.
The build quality is good, the buttons and knobs are tactile and it's easy to operate in low light. It's a shame you can't stack the tuned modes like harmony and pitch correction, you can only really add compression, reverb and delay to the many pitch related effects. I will probably upgrade to a Roland VT4, but not because there's a problem with the Zoom V3, it's just lacking the controls I'm looking for.

Ok overall
I expected a better vocoder effect but it is hard to use. But for the price you pay what can you expect.
The other effects are good. And i love the fact that you can add delay and reverb to the effects.

Zoom V3
Not quite the quality of Roland Boss or TC Helicon.
But cheaper and value for money.
And a great desktop feature for podcasters and live streaming etc.
