A beast of a ride

Symbiont, 20.12.2017
This ride is in the true sense of the word a really fat thing. I needed an assertive, noisy ride, as my previous ones were a bit too jazzy and reserved, and I can only say - my ears are still ringing in a totally positive way! I've never had such a heavy, massive pelvis, which even penetrates the auditory canal even when gently playing. Not to mention the Bell! First of all, it is very positive that you can hardly miss such a big bell (an estimated 8-10 "tall) even in the biggest hustle and bustle, and much more amazing is that the bell goes through a very large sonic dynamic almost as a separate pelvis in the pelvis can: Directly played, she gives a direct, compact light tone of itself, slightly laterally struck it is already louder and a complete "broadside" with the stick skin to a brighter, clearer, penetrating downright, but I have something to complain: The workmanship leaves something to be desired, the cymbal seems a bit coarse and processed little sensitively, but it can also be that the K series has spoiled me in the respect a bit too much anyway Anyway disturb me some rough scratches and traces on the Bell, and there's also an inch-long, nasty, jagged depression on the bell, as deep as it's in the metal, and that's the processing not be due to the transport. A "luxury" point of criticism yet: crashed the ride sounds awful. The crash sound is not musical at all, just metallic booming. Personally, I do not give a damn about that, I have crashes for crashes, and I certainly did not get that big ride to crash. The pelvis lives up to its prestigious predecessor (Z-Custom Mega Bell Ride). If you are looking for a fat ride for hard and loud musical genres, listening through the strongest guitar sound is the right choice with this gem of brutality.

Zildjian 21 "A-Series Mega Bell Ride

E-1000, 09.03.2017
Great, very good compromise between a bell and a wrinkle.
Ideal for blasting or marking time with the powerful bell. Power, yes it is the word accompanied by energy that I would qualify to define this cymbal. The sound of the Ride in general is pretty coarse, not very fine so avoid for a quiet music style and playing on volume differences. It quickly becomes rough if you try to play in finesse.

You can not have everything, but to avoid having bells everywhere in order to effect accents or effects in your compositions, this Zildjian is an excellent compromise.

This Ride is very generous, a lot of attack and a very high, energetic volume! It's been over a year since I've been playing with her and she has not taken a ride. Always as much strength! Pretty thick, it seems very solid.
