cutting and great clarity

I was using a set of ancient paiste hats with chunks missing so i was well overdue an upgrade.
Getting the K Lights was a serious, serious upgrade.
The top and bottom hats are different weights so you get a really beautiful dark sound but with it's own brightness on top. I play in a band where dynamics are key and the K lights can do it all. they sound gorgeous closed and played lightly but they can also hold their own when it gets loud on stage and offer a great slushy sound when half open.

I was originally looking at getting the K Lights in the 13" but I'm glad i went for the 14. They give that extra bit of volume that I need for playing in bands but can also be controlled when I'm rehearsing/practicing.

Superb hats.

Jaaa hmmm jaaa..

I use this charley in a context of rock copiously amplified and in this field he is doing wonders. It is very versatile in my opinion, although in terms of cymbal everything is about taste, very honestly I do not find it really fault. It will probably delight those, who like me, have been able to already find the sound of the regular k a bit too heavy. Its very crystalline, beautiful harmonics, quite complex. After already almost 25 years of drums and a certain number of charley on the counter (k custom dark, k regular, a new beat, etc ...) this is without doubt the one who, if it were to remain one , Remained.
