Von einem Selmer Mark VI werde ich nicht mehr träumen. Mit diesem S-Bogen ist mein Mittelklassesaxophon (Neupreis 2600,00 €) in der Oberklasse angekommen. Sowohl in den Höhen als auch in den Tiefen spricht das Instrument sehr gut an. Der Klang ist frei und klar. Auch leise Töne zu spielen, ist ein Genuss. Spielfreude pur! Der Kauf ist damit ein wirtschaflicher Erfolg. Ein teuerers Instrument muss ich nun nicht mehr kaufen!
Getestet mit einem Mundstück Gottsu Sepia Tone Soloist E und einem Blatt von Woodstone.

Ich spiele als Amateur ein 62-er Tenorsax von Yamaha zusammen mit einem Otto Link 6* und Vandoren Java red 3,0 und komme damit gut klar. Lediglich die Ansprache bei hohen Tönen ist damit teilweise etwas mühsam. Deshalb stand ich vor der Wahl, u.U. ein neues Instrument (z.B. YTS 82 oder 875) oder einen anderen S-Bogen bei meinem Instrument auszuprobieren. Nun, ich habe beides getan. Die Wahl fiel eindeutig zugunsten des Custom-S-Bogens aus. Bei gleicher Konstellation ist die Ansprache deutlich besser, selbst Flageoletts sind kein Problem mehr. Auch der Sound ist voller. Die neuen Instrumente waren auch nicht schlecht, aber im Vergleich, auch unter Berücksichtigung des Preisunterschiedes, einfach nicht überzeugend.

Když použiji eso V1 k hubičkám Selmer Soloist E, nebo S80E, nebo S90-200, zvuk se zjemní a vyladí, což oceňuji zejména u vysokých tónú. Pro tyto hubičky je to přínos a jejich krásný temný zvuk se ještě umocní. Pokud chcete hrát na výraznější hubičky např. mou oblíbenou Gottsu soloist D, pak si s nim eso V1 nerozumí , zvukový projev je divný a musel jsem se vrátit k původnímu esu mého saxofonu Yamaha YTS 62. Tedy není eso V1 všelék, ale pouze zajímavá alternativa pro určité hubičky.
