I spent quite some time researching different options of clonewheels before landing on the Viscount Legend Soul 273. Thomann had this in stock, so I created an account and made my first purchase at Thomann’s.
The shopping experience was very good. Swift handling, and excellent feedback on the different steps in the process (shipping, tracking etc). I even got appointed a contact person. Kudos!
This organ blew my mind!
It has the same layout as “the real thing”, so navigating around was like coming home. I pressed the “B” preset, took out the first thre drawbars, adjusted percussion and set the chorus to C3. There it was; the famous “Jimmy Smith” setting, and it sounded like the real thing. And if that wasn’t enough - all the extra tweaks you could want is just a knob away. Adjusting the key click, crosstalk (leakage between the drawbars), reverb, amp gain and equalizer have their own knobs for easy access. And there are several tone wheel models to choose from, so you will most certainly be able to find your preferred sound.
The keybed is excellent. Sliding is a charm, and the responsiveness is just as you would expect.
I haven’t dived into all the different settings in the editing mode, but from the looks of it you can customize just about everything. Joey D. and Viscount really did a great job.

The Perfect Clonewheel?
Just a stunning instrument. It looks the part, it sound the part. The only real complaint is Viscount's frankly ludicrous prices for matching stands and benches.

My dream has finally come true!
For as long as I can remember, I dreamed of owning a Hammond B3 or C3. Unfortunately, by the time I was finally able to afford such an instrument, they were no longer being manufactured.
Over the years, I owned several excellent clonewheel organs that emulated the Hammond sound quite well, but none of them truly captured the complete experience of playing a real Hammond. At the same time, I wasn’t ready to buy a vintage instrument.
For a long time, I was considering the Suzuki Hammond models and the Crumar organs, until I discovered the Viscount Legend Soul 273. It was exactly the organ I had been looking for—the one I had always imagined in my dreams.
Unfortunately, this instrument is not available in my country, so I had no opportunity to try it in person. Instead, I carefully watched every demo and review of the Viscount Legend Soul 273 that I could find on YouTube. Eventually, I decided to take the leap and order it.
I was a little concerned about the long journey the instrument would have to make from the store to my home and whether it would survive the trip safely. In the end, I put those worries aside and ordered the Viscount Legend Soul 273 together with its matching stand.
A couple of days later, I realized that to complete the authentic Hammond experience I also needed the pedalboard, so I added it to my order.
Since the Viscount Legend Soul 273 was expected to arrive at the distributor’s warehouse within a couple of weeks, all I could do was wait.
Ten days later, I received an email saying that my order had been shipped via UPS. Just two days after that, it arrived at customs, where it was awaiting payment of the import duties, which I had already paid in advance. The following day, I received a notification that the shipment was on its way to my home.
A few hours later, the Viscount Legend Soul 273 was finally in my hands.
The instrument arrived in absolutely perfect cosmetic and working condition.
