Light maple as you would expect, however the durability was not the best. Probably would be fine for a light player. I would not hit very hard but i didnt get the longevity I would from a hickory stick.

Of course, reviews, just from sticks, are always very very subjective. The gameplay is different for everyone and fits accordingly better or worse.

For me the father 5B Sugar Maple is an absolute top stick. The quality is very good, which concerns both the wood itself and the processing. Even the imprinted logo I find not obtrusive, but very pretty and timeless.

The game feeling is - for me at least - excellent. A bit more powerful than other 5B's from other manufacturers, with full, powerful sound, but very good rebound behavior. For me a very convincing mixture of speed and bumms.

I personally like Maple sticks very much. They are always slightly lighter than comparable models from eg Hickory, but they sound natural, darker and warmer, and the feel is also better and less slippery.

The fact that the stick breaks quickly, does not last much and quickly wear, I can not determine anything. After the first few hours, he has only a few notches, and with partial hard playing, rimshots, etc. I wonder what you have to do to break a stick .... before, I played Father Concert Maple, Only insubstantially thicker, and neither of them has ever been broken or too worn out.
