Nice reed but...

For tenor V-16 reed my feelings are the same as for the V-16 soprano reed. The reed is very hard hitting. Great jazz reed with ease of control over dynamics and articulation. If you want a big, bright sounding reed that makes you stand out, this is the right one for you. But I need a creamier, supple reed, so my choice is the Java Red-Cut.

Ich spiele seit Jahren Vandoren Blätter und habe noch nie schlechte Erfahrungen machen müssen. Das V16 ist definitv eines meiner Lieblingsblätter. Es klingt sehr modern und ist sicherlich in den Bereichen Jazz/Funk/Rock und für Solomusiker am besten geeignet. Für Orchestermusiker ist es mmn (je nach Stück) nur bedingt zu empfehlen, da es doch einen ganz eigenen Charakter hat, der zu bestimmten Nummern einfach nicht ganz passt und heraussticht. (Hier ist das "Classic" sicher empfehlenswerter)

Das 3er hat im Vergleich zum 2,5er mehr Volumen und klingt nochmal ein Stück kräftiger, gleichzeitig aber auch agressiver und, wie ich finde, obenraus etwa zu schrill. Sicher macht die Spieltechnik auch einiges aus - mir kam es aber im direkten Vergleich zum 2,5er etwas drahtiger vor. Aber bei dem Preis geht Probieren über Studieren!

Qualität ist bei Vandoren eh noch nie ein Thema gewesen! ;-) Alles Tiptop!

Comme à son habitude, la marque Vandoren fait le travail.
J'utilise ces anches avec un bec Meyer en ébonite et franchement ça match bien.
Toutefois je trouve dommage le fait qu'il y ai certaines anches qui soit un peut plus faibles et moins robustes que d'autre dans les paquets.
