Platform for Decoupling Drums

This podium eliminates the transmission frequencies that are generated when playing an electronic and acoustic drum set. This relieves the pressure on roommates and neighbours in particular, as they will no longer be subjected to knocking and hitting noises transmitted via the floor.

Suitable for acoustic and electronic drums
Consists of six MDF boards, 19 mm thick, with a total of 27 conical, 8 cm tall decoupling resonators
The MDF boards are glued across their entire surface to the grey felt
With integrated Thomann logo
The MDF boards create a total area of 190 x 190 cm when screwed together
Including border curtain for front and side parts
Extremely simple screw mount on the underside

I highly recommend the Drum Noise Elimination Podium!!

I live in an apartment and bought this for my Roland TD17KVX as my downstairs neighbour complained of noise. Very, very happy with the product, as it is very sturdy and looks professionally made (unlike a lot of DIY platforms I've seen online). It was very easy to put together and I disagree with a previous reviewer that stated it 'wobbles'. I'm a big guy and I don't notice any wobbling, so I think the other reviewer must not have assembled it properly. I was also impressed with how fast it was delivered, as I'm in Canada. I ordered it on a Sunday and it was at my door by Thursday. Highly recommend purchasing this for your drum set, as it works great for noise reduction and looks great! I haven't had any noise complaints since. As a first time customer of Thomann, I was also very happy with their customer service.

Pros: noise reduction, professionally made, looks great, very fast international shipping

Cons: you will need to invest in a drum rug to put on top, as it is covered in a thin layer of felt that would likely get damaged over time (it recommends this in the assembly instructions).

My downstairs neighbours did not complain since I got this

It isn't wobbly, you won't feel like it is moving as you play.

The one "con" I have is that I had to add a carpet on top to stop it from resonating, the one built in isn't enough.

A Wobbly Podium that Works

I believe the title says it all. It does what it is supposed to do, and it is quite wobbly.

The construction of the podium seemed pretty sturdy when I first received it, with its ridiculous weight and all. Assembly was easy, although some of the screws weren't perfectly in place. Nonetheless, I had no problem assembling this item. The only problem is that it is quite wobbly.

As far as the noise dampening goes, I haven't gotten a knock or a call from my neighbor since the purchase, so I suppose it is doing what it's supposed to do.

Slightly on the expensive side for the quality, but not bad.
