fits like it should. Bought this to try and saw it off on my highest sizing. Which is no issue for this price ;-)

Tama Quality!

Like any Tama product, this is a stable and durable hi-hat rod. Even when you install/screw a jam block/cowbell on it its still sturdy and holds the jam block/cowbell very well with very minimal shakes and wobbles even when you hit the percussion very hard. This hi-hat rod can definitely take a beating. I transport my drum hardware without a case and without removing this hi-hat rod. And this hasnt disappointed me, never broke, never been bent. In short its road worthy!
Buy this and you wont regret it. Tama for life!

Chopped it!

Bought this to make a shorter rod (with a hacksaw and a file) for open-handed left hand playing by dropping the hi-hats down low. Gives easy access to the cymbals behind the hats (e.g. left hand ride, etc).

Did the job nicely and for only £3! Thomann rule.

Great spare part from Tama
Anonymous 22.08.2016
After playing on a hill a year ago my Iron Cobra hihat pedal took a tumble and the rod was bent to a 45 degree angle. I bent the rod back as best I could but was never truely straight.

For the price, I this was a no brainier as a replacement! The little plastic cup over the threads is a great little touch as it guides the rod into the receiver in the pulling mechanism.

It's really great as well to use a genuine part from Tama, other rods would have worked but it's nice to buy an identical one.

Ideal spare

This is a very positive spare and I checked that it fits perfectly. A slightly tighter fit than the original but in no way compromised.
