Between the axe and the mix

The Swiff Audio WX501 Wireless System can handle frequencies from 10Hz to 22kHz, so even the deepest bass comes through with plenty of punch. It arrives with the transmitter and receiver clipped together: The top section is the transmitter, and the bottom is the receiver. The transmitter plugs into a guitar and sends its signal to the receiver, which then connects to a mixing desk, an amp or a pedalboard. Both units feature a swivelling jack plug for flexible positioning, and each has its own on/off button. LED displays on both devices show the battery level, making it easy to see when a recharge is needed: The USB split cable that is included in the scope of delivery can charge both devices at once.

Safe and secure signal

For a solid signal, a guitarist will need a clear, direct line of sight between the transmitter and receiver, with as few large obstacles as possible in the way. Both units should also be at least 1.5 metres away from larger metal objects like walls or scaffolding: Because of the built-in lithium batteries, they shouldn't be placed near heat sources either. If the system isn't going to be used for a while, users should make sure to unplug the charging cable.
