Best Bucket Mute

I've tried various brands of bucket mutes through the years, but this beats the competition hands down.
The mute is fantastic quality, with no rough or sharp edges and nicely padded clips to attach it to the bell of the trumpet. Depending on the exact size of your bell the clips might need bending slightly to get a good grip. The bucket has some issues fitting on smaller bells, such as some cornets and Eb and D trumpets, but with a small amount of bending the clips this can be fixed.
The sound of the mute is beautiful and mellow, with the adjustable tightness of the bucket allowing for a wider range of tonal colour.

Simple and effective - but expensive

Pros: Very easy to use/adjust mute and its effect is very warm, mellow, and soft. I felt like kinda transforming your trumpet into flugelhorn.
Cons: Unfortunately very expensive.

Avantages :
- Très légère
- Facile et rapide à installer et à enlever
- Deux niveaux de "fermeture" du son
- Transport aisé, elle s'emboite bien dans une Harmon, faible encombrement au total
Inconvénient :
- Ne remplace que moyennement une sourdine "bucket", la Soulo est plutôt un compromis entre la "bucket" pure et dure et la "cup".
Au total, une sourdine must have, les avantages dépassent de beaucoup le (petit) inconvénient.

guter und leichter Dämpfer

Diesen Dämpfer setzte ich anstelle eines Cup-Mute ein. Er ist sehr sehr leicht und hat einen sehr ähnlichen Klang. Die Ansprache ist auch ganz natürlich und unbeeinflusst.
Der Klang ist zwar ähnlich, wie bei einem Cup-Mute, aber er hat, wenn man lauter spielt, mehr Kern, als jener. Im Vergleich zu anderen Bucket-Mutes dämpft er auch weniger.
Die Verarbeitung ist gut, er ist auch recht flexibel und dadurch widerstandsfähig, die Polster auf der Innenseite lösen sich aber, wenn man an ihnen leicht (naja, mittelfest) zieht, das könnte besser sein. Die Grösse passt gut auf einen Schallbecher von 123mm Durchmesser, bei grösseren (Drehventiltrompeten, mein Kornett) funktioniert er zwar auch (wie ein um eine Grösse zu kleiner Hosenbund ;-) ), aber das Anbringen und Verstellen wird deutlich mühsamer.
