Very good mouthpiece - watch out with track opening!
Saxophilist, 01.08.2017
I ordered the Selmer Soloist in the opening E and F. I was somewhat surprised by the fact that the railway openings and the length of the railways seem not to correspond to the official data. Selmer apparently has changed this in the meantime:

The E has a web opening of 1.85mm, the F 1.95mm. Track length is at both 24.00mm.

Both mouthpieces are excellently processed (here you can see that Selmer changed the production process) and intonieren very well on my Selmer Serie 3 saxophone. The F comes to me a bit more towards the opening of the railway. I play with jazz on a Vandoren V16 blade of thickness 2.5.
Along with the D'addario Select Jazz (D6M) mouthpiece, this is currently my favorite. The Selmer has the nose on the front, the D'addario has more power and the typical Meyer sound. The sound of the soloist mouthpiece is warm and malleable, but not too loud. It is very versatile. Intonation is very good and balanced.

Top!
09.07.2015

Ansonsten klare Weiterempfehlung!
