Ideal for Alto Trombone

I bought my seasoned trombonist dad an Alto trombone which he loves. But it came with a 24.0mm inner diameter mouthpiece which he finds too large for the instrument. This Schilke 40B is the smallest mouthpiece I could find that fits the trombone shank and dad loves it, the upper register on Alto is much easier and the tone remains excellent even in the lower register of the instrument. My dad plays a large bore Bb/F trombone as his normal instrument so the Alto is considerably smaller.

As a semi pro trumpet player I wanted to dabble with the trombone I bought a pre-owned Blessing Scholastic trombone and needed a mouthpiece that I could easily interchange between the two instruments I bought the Schilke 40B and this mouthpiece is just perfect, low or high notes come with ease and the overall sound is loud and fat.

Perfekt für Trompeter

Auch ich habe mich für das Mundstück entschieden, da ich eigentlich Trompete spiele und nur ab und zu mal auf der Posaune. Das Mundstück ist bisher für mich der beste Kompromiss. Man verliert etwas Thickness in der Tiefe, man hat aber eine ähnliche Range in der Höhe wie man sie auf der Trompete hat. Das war bisher mit den anderen bisher von mir verwendeten Posaunenmundstücken nicht so.

Inwiefern ich dieses Mundstück gestandenen Posaunisten empfehlen würde weiß ich nicht. Vielleicht ist dieses Mundstück dann das Equivalent zu den Screamer-Mundstücken auf der Trompetenseite.

Für Trompeter die Posaune (passt auch auf Euphonium) spielen wollen, klare Empfehlung von mir.

Embouchure non conforme pour moi

Je voulais essayer cette embouchure parce que le diamètre de la cuvette était petit étant donné que ma morphologie dentaire à évolué ( mais pas dans le bon sens). Il faut dire que je joue avec une embouchure Vincent Bach 6 ½ Al depuis 50 ans et que ma position sur les lèvres est de 1/3 lèvre supérieure et de 2/3 lèvre inférieure. Cette embouchure à un aigu très facile mais passer d'un son aigu à un son grave c'est impossible pour moi. IL aurait fallu que cette embouchure ait les bords moins épais pour que ma mâchoire inférieure puisse évoluer correctement. Cela ne concerne que moi . Cordialement.
