Rycote Zoom H6 Kit

I purchased a portable recorder Zoom H6 after having long been torn between this and a H5.

The H5 comes with only one stereo mic supplied, a dual-capsule with XY recovery; The H6 is instead equipped with dual-capsule stereo set, an XY and one MS.

The mic most recent dell'H5, XY stereo on the market than all'H6, however, is equipped with a built-in elastic system to attenuate the noise from handling that, instead, nell'H6 is not present. Mmm ... this better, or rather what?

After much alambiccarmi, saw that I was at heart the MS recovery for the ambient noises, and that buying it aside, the most cost dell'H5 capsule MS would have been even higher than the cost dell'H6 with two capsules (which, however, has 6 tracks, not 4 as the H5) ... I chose the H6 deciding to dotarmi an accessory part to reduce mechanical noise from handling.

Rycote is the manufacturer of the most popular systems of protection for miking environment. There is no film or television production, journalism or documentary, in which the microphones are not accommodated "on board" of a Rycote Kit, whose cheapest model for general use, anti-wind and anti-vibration, coast to another as about 3 Zoom H6 (microphone excluded, of course).

Doubt, before receiving the kit, was legitimate: the final quality of the recording, the properties of Rycote system will make an audible difference, since the cost is equivalent to slightly less than half of the appliance, but that compared to the standard Rycote 'entire kit H6 coast as the only adapter for the microphone cable systems professional?

Well ... money well spent. Indeed, they are better than the money spent my whole project! I recorded the crowd the streets in European capitals walking with the recorder in hand, for hours, without having to throw in the trash even a resumption minute due to parasitic noise. Unthinkable, otherwise, even with the H5 "amortized" series.

The two windproof headphones that are more functional, more than enough for amateur applications to which the recorder is intended, or for professional applications also under atmospheric conditions not particularly adverse. For instance, records of busker music groups with string instruments, even with the breeze of the evening in the center of the cities of Central Europe, is completely insulated from the nefarious wind disorder.

Of course, to quote the Emperor penguins in Antarctica taking off from recording the noise caused by the wind serves a Rycote blimp real ones, and expensive, but so much in these conditions there is hardly adventure with a recorder as the H6.

The engineering quality, despite being a low-cost kit than the rest of the catalog of the British House, is very high, and the materials used (many and different) are the same as the "serious" kit, designed ad-hoc and allow much functionality without mechanical complications and unnecessary weight escalates.

In all cases where the available budget does not justify (or not allow) the use of a professional "field" recorder and a microphone kit to the state, the set of Rycote accessories allows you to get results otherwise insperabili also to be honest amateur equipment such as Zoom H6.

If I had not bought the Rycote kit before using the recorder, perhaps I would come to return it to the seller, because everyday use, "in the field", without the strap isolation, it is virtually impossible in terms of sound (and not only on 'H6, but also on the other my pocket-portable recorder Tascam).

Bottom line, last line: for recording voice in the home, or the noise of zucchini frying in the pan, without ever again!
