Rycote PCS - Boom Connector

I’ve been using this quick change adapter for 5 years and have been very happy with it. The machining is excellent, it has no play/wiggle, it attaches securely, and I’d trust it even with heavy microphones. It’s also smaller and more discrete than competing products. I use it to attach a microphone stereo bar to a tall lightstand and have found it essential. This way I can place and measure the capsule distance and attach it without anything moving. Trying to do it any other way would be silly and cumbersome, and that has justified the price for me.

That said, Rycote is no longer the same company since they were sold (2018), the staff let go and manufacturing relocated (2022). I have concerns about their newly manufactured products because their quality has become inconsistent.
