get this and a true vintage set and you get yourself a 10-47 flatwound set
I saw this trick is used by the guitar player of Khurangbin, in his rig rundown video he explains this and I wanted to give it a try. Just ordered this single 0.10 and the true vintage set flatwound set from Pyramid Gold, used this as the 1st, and the true vintage set as the following, just throw of the 0.056 6th (lower E) string. My only doubt was how would this one and true vintage set pair, and if there would be any tonal differences, but as soon as I strunged my guitar up all my doubts vanished away. they pair perfectly. Great strings from Pyramid Gold

My spares to go strings...
I have been using them since...forever.
When you bend like there is no tomorrow chances are you are gonna break that poor E string, so that's where the Pyramid comes in.
I use nickel plated strings and to be quite honest I was never able to tell the difference between these and the equivalent Fenders, GHSs etc. so soundwise, I wouldn't be too skeptical.
Same thing goes with the durability.

Good Quality 10s
Using these as spares. I brake the high E sometimes more often while the whole set is still good sounding and in good (playable, recordable) condition. These are great for that situation.
The other scenario is if I put on a 46-09 set instead of the regular 46-10, I almost always tend to replace the high E for a 10.
Not much to say, durability and tone are pretty good.
Pyramids are great all round strings at very affordable prices.

great strings for the money
Bought them as a spare string in case I'd break one. The sound and play great! Was surprised about the quality of the strings for this kind of money.

Pyramid 010 single
Pyramid strings in my humble opinion do not get the recognition they deserve. ( in the uk ) However i have to say they are probably the best strings i have used. Quality, clarity, tone. Cool packaging , try them.
