Band in a Box 2024

I've been writing music for many years, and even though I've known about Band in a Box for a long time, I wasn't of a mind to buy it until recently. Even to old musicians like me, the technology involved in music creation has become increasingly important and in the end I decided, after watching several videos on YouTube, to throw caution to the wind and purchase it. I've had positive dealings with Thomson before, so I turned to them - I tend to go for companies I trust.
Boy am I glad that I went for it. It's infinitely better than I thought it would be, and you get an awful lot for your money.
I can't pretend I'm an expert with it - as I said earlier, I'm on the senior side of life now and not as quick as I used to be, but I'm having great fun with this brilliant song writing tool. it's great for inspiration and you can be up and running with it in no time.
You get the 64 & 32 bit versions of the stand alone application, as well as the VST version - which works superbly well in Reaper (and all the other DAWs) and it also comes with Realband which I haven't got round to using yet.
I just wish I'd bought it years ago. I've only scraped the surface of it yet, but I'm loving everything about it.

Liebe Freunde, ich habe jetzt BandinaBox einige Wochen in Verwendung, muss aber leider sagen, dass da kaum was friktionsfrei funktioniert. Songs spielen die Wiederholungen nicht, Import von Akkorden über Midi tut gar nichts, VST Plugin bringt Cubase zum Absturz, Tempo der genreierten wav-Files stimmt nicht, Button-Beschriftungen sind unleserlich und und und. Es ist einfach mühsam. Ich bin ja bereit, eine Lernkurve zu kratzen, aber das ist einfach zuviel, weil die Software eben derart mangelhaft ist. Das Konzept wäre ja super, wenngleich die Styles alle ziemlich gleich klingen, was wohl daran liegt, dass das immer die selben Musiker spielen. Ich werde mich weiter durchkämpfen und einen Workflow erarbeiten, mit dem ich leben kann, aber die Tiefen der Funktionen und Menues lasse ich einfach derzeit links liegen, geht nicht anders.

Viele tolle Möglichkeiten, leider nicht intuitiv zu bedienen. Ich wußte das anhand der Rezessionen und habe Zeit dafür eingeplant; nach einiger Zeit ist es etwas besser. Habe die deutsche Bedienungsanleitung der vorletzten Version genommen. Kaufgrund: Vorlagen und Songs für die Weiterbearbeitung in Cubase.
