Great quality, and very smooth

I bought these as I was converting a rims mounted pair of toms to opti-mount mounted system. These are such good quality, compared with the 'L' rod system I was using before. The chrome plating is of the highest standard, and the adjustment is so smooth, and locks in place really easily. There isn't much else you would want from this particular bracket. The size is perfect for fitting into a clamp or, as I did, stick it in a yamaha double tom holder on a bass drum.
These are quite heavy, but I guess you want that from a tom holder!

I was just wondering if the short version was better than the logn one for holding toms on my rack... So I tried both versions and now I can confirm that the short holder is waaaaay better for handling 8", 10" and 12" toms. Versatile and durable, you can set up the first time and forget about changing ANYTHING from that point on, unless you want to switch/change/add something on the run.

Short arm tom holder, good for when there's not much space. Found the joint becoming looser over time but will still hold in place. The angle of the elbow is changed using a standard drum key, comes with memory locks
