Très content de cette caisse en laiton. Son chaleureux et dynamique.

Très bonne qualité fabrication.
Elle est très malléable question accordage, elle sonne superbement aussi bien dans les graves, médiums et les aigus. Un bonheur aussi bien avec les baguettes qu'avec les balais.
Belle présence dans un mix.
C'est classique sans fioritures mais très éfficace. C'est apparemment une réédition d'un grand classique de chez Pearl que je ne connais pas (Jupiter).
Pour l'esthétique cela m'importe peu mais les contours en nacres ne me déplaisent pas.

Ganz bewusst habe ich die 5"-Variante gewählt. DAS ist der Sound, den ich seit meiner Jugend im Ohr habe.
Äußerlich passt sie perfekt zu meinem Pearl MMX Set, sogar besser als andere Snares aus dem gleichen Haus. Im Vergleich zur alten Jupiter der 70er Jahre ist sie, bei aller Nostalgie, viel schöner. Was die makellos glänzende Verchromung und die perlweißen Wrap-Streifen in den Sicken alles ausmachen!
Ausgepackt, Stimmschrauben raus, geölt und aufs erste Mal sauber gestimmt! Das habe ich bislang noch nie geschafft. Die Klang-Charakterisierung "eher trocken", die man in vielen Rezensionen und Videos liest und hört, kann ich voll bestätigen. Eine zusätzliche Dämpfung ist nicht nötig, mag ich nebenbei bemerkt auch nicht. Tief, mittel, hoch gestimmt – einerlei. Der Stimmumfang ist schon eindrucksvoll.
Die 8. Pearl-Schnarrtrommel in meiner Sammlung. Ich denke, ich brauche keine weitere mehr. Mit der Duoluxe hat man für alle Gelegenheiten das richtige Instrument.

Het uiterlijk is even aan wennen maar ook dat begin ik te waarderen. Veel metalen snaredrums gehad waaronder meerdere Ludwigs en Premiers maar dit is echt een topper! Voor mij beter dan de Super Brass van Ludwig die ik laatst had gekocht. Pearl maakt echt een aantal fantastische snaredrums die niets onderdoen of zelfs beter klinken dan de gevestigde namen zoals Ludwig, Dunnett, DW etc.
Een absolute aanbeveling!
