Paiste 18" Signature Thin China

Paiste Signature Line

18" Thin China

On the way to an optimal cymbal sound, a special Paiste sound alloy from patented bronze was developed for the signature series. The result are instruments that have been gaining recognition since their introduction in 1989, and have proven themselves both in the studio and life. The sound has a high expressive power and can be described as filigree, transparent, musical, emotional and colourful.

The Thin China Signature line offers a dark, full and "trashy" sound. Very explosive at the first attack, followed by a soft, fast sustain. Well suited for the lower volume range.

Sounds Awesome

This is an exact replacement for the one we've had for about ten years or so. It has seen its fair share of different drummers and heavy hitters.
We play thrash metal so it gets used quite extensively.
This china sounds awesome, cuts through everything and blends nicely with the other cymbals.
Not too dark and not too bright, it's in between.

Sweet

An 18 inch China cymbal from Paiste’s Amazon signature range.
Obviously China cymbals aren’t to everyone’s taste but I love them for accents because they stand.
In my head, there is a certain sound that certain cymbals should make and this cymbal just seems to tick that box . It doesn’t sound out of place against my other paiste signatures. It has a nice tone, musical but not too aggressive. It’s just sweet!
