the sssnake Optical Cable 1m

I was planning to use these cables to connect an OctoPre to a Scarlett interface and was facing sync issues. First doubting the equipment, I switched those 2 "snakes" for some cheap Amazon basic optical cables which work flawlessly. It seems that the fancy (but useless) golden connectors struggle to keep the optical cables in place, whereas the cheap Amazon stuff just works.

I bought the cables to connect my Focusrite octopre dynamic to my Universal audio Appolo8 thunderbolt , the connectors don't hold in place and with the lightest touch they fall out of the connector , I can only use them when I tape them to the gear :-(

I bought two of this cable brand new to pair two Focusrite products, after TONS of testing and research and support, I decided to buy a differently branded optical cable. Turns out, the design of the "sleeve" is too bulky for it to fully connect.

For something that's been such a standard for a long time, I'm surprised sssnake would get this wrong - all for the sake of making the blue part of the connector bulky.

Mine arrived faulty. It just doesn't work.

Just get something that costs a little bit more. I've had several of these that got broken after just minimal use. I can't recommend this product, you really get what you pay for.

This cable has given me nightmares, thinking my problems were caused by DAW, audio interface etc.. it was the cable all along. Very unstable when used with focusrite 18i20.

Literally won't hold in place, as someone else here said in their review. Just slips out
