I find it doesn't grip as well as others which creates a kind of friction bouncing sound on the gong. It may work better on a larger gong but on my 24" symphonic its not the best match.

excellent while it lasts
i loved the bass from this but after using it a while the grip was lost and found it sliding. For the money i was expecting it to last a lot longer
