Amazing Potential

This has one of the best designs, from case to mic. Compact, light, decent range. I love how quick you can be up and running with it.
I use it for casual, short gigs and as a handy backup. But my Shure BLX4 has yet to fail me.
Unfortunately I feel that most Pros would find it troublesome to rely on for a few reasons. It could really use a Pro version. Google shows me there exists a Pro version but it doesn't seem to be offered in Europe and also seems to be missing some vital features that I'd need.

- Biggest issue would be its auto-power off. That should never happen, or be adjustable. This makes it impossible to use for important gigs where you have to wait your turn.
- No frequency changing (normally should be fine, but if you do get transmission dropouts, there's no chance to improve that). Had a gig I had to ditch it because there were drop outs but we couldn't see why.
- Weak lights make it hard to see if it's on and paired in outdoor situations. Had to ditch it on one gig because I couldn't troubleshoot if it was on or not connected when we didn't get a sound.
- No on/off flip switch makes it harder to know if it's actually on, since sometimes you can't see the light.
- No mute switch. I'm often needing to shut off my mic and don't want to worry about transmitter turning off due to no signal.
- No battery level indicator. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if there wasn't a way to swap the battery if anything. Only the case has indicator lights, and you kind of have to hope it charged them fully.

So, I would really love a Pro version of this. Make it a little bigger with a few more features and this would be amazing.

Additional: My first delivery had connection issues so I sent it back and had to wait a few weeks for repair, and the second had sadly the same issues and was sent back. So it was a while before I had the final third version and that has so far been working for a year now.

Convenience personified

The NUX B6 wireless transmitter is the most versatile mic system for saxophones. It is applicable and interchangeable to all three popular saxophones i.e. Tenor, Alto and Soprano with settings appropriate to
whichever instrument is being played. It is very light and easily charged
in fact the fitted storage box can carry a charge to replenish the mic and transmitter whilst on the move. I cannot think of anything that could improve this complete system.

Perfect mic for gigs
Lev Borovskyi 01.11.2024
This microphone is ideal for small to medium-sized stage performances. I’ve used it for trumpet and trombone, and it’s always worked great. Just remember to press the charging button on the case.

However, I wouldn’t recommend it for professional recording. The sound of the valves comes through, and when I used it with Ableton, the waveform appeared inverted compared to other mics, I don't know what it could be related to.

Also, if you try to use it with a DPA 4099 mic through a mini-jack adapter, it causes constant noise. Despite claims from Better Sax on YouTube that it should work fine, this wasn’t my experience.
