Most flutists I know use roll-up sleeves, made by them-or their families. And the most purist, a piece of cloth tossed to wrap his flute. Certainly, there is nothing like a rigid case to preserve an instrument. But when one chooses to play the flute, one will probably prefer an old, "historical" or at least traditional touch in the details.

So I also thought about making me a homemade roller case ... until I discovered that only the price of the cloth and a thin padded wadding cost almost what the Moeck sheath. Besides, the time devoted to cutting and sewing - and begging for favors, because the sewing is fatal.

Personally I am very satisfied with this case: its size admits even the tenor flute disassembled, and allows me to carry several flutes with one hand (and in the other, music stand and folders), lets breathe to the wood and both the compartments and the Flap cover flutes and prevent rubbing. In addition, at the far right there is a compartment for swabs or drumsticks, and a large pocket on the same flap where to carry cloths and fat cans - and the tuner, in my case.

Apart, the details: handle and appliqués in light leather - which are not appreciated in the photograph and were a pleasant surprise for me -, discreet - and safe, I give faith - velcro closures that avoid fighting with buckles, edges reinforced by an applique Of tape sewn all along. And the best, the price ... For those who do not know how to thread a needle, much cheaper than dinner to thank the favor for having sewn it.
