Moeck 4105 Rottenburgh Sopranino

Rottenburgh Sopranino Recorder

Like the violin, the classical recorder dates back to the Baroque period in cultural centres such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Nürnberg and Brussels. Friedrich von Huene, the well-known recorder maker, examined almost all original recorders that were sent to museums. From the data collected and in the style of instruments from Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh, the MOECK Rottenburgh Baroque recorder in modern tuning was developed.

Today, they are the most played Baroque solo recorders and have proven themselves to be particularly reliable. They are characterised by their brilliant trebles.

Moeck 4105 Rottenburgh Sopranino
28.03.2017
The 4105 Rottenburgh Sopranino is a excellently balanced instrument.
The upper half of the range is crystal clear and not too difficult to achieve. The lower range is mellow and rich in colour. However, I do have a fingering problem with bottom C/Csharp as it is not possible to radially adjust the position of
of the holes. I accept that having large hands doesn't help. Overall I am very pleased with my choice and can confirm that the careful selection of wood is a vital factor in achieving the quality of tone required.
I now have three sizes of Moeck Rottenburgh recorders all complete with beautiful, robust cases.
The service I received from Thomann was first class.

A great, good-sounding flute, somewhat gentler in sound than her Grenadill sister, the sound is also a little less radiant and less clear, but it also depends on what you want to use this flute. You have to play them directly in a direct comparison, in order to be able to decide ...

Despite its infamous classroom or beginner’s image, the recorder is in fact just as difficult to play well as most other instruments.
