I already ha a wavestate when i bought this,both are wavable synths but very different in sound.So many sonic possibilities,i got the module so i cold put it on a bigger midi keyboard a good decision on my part.

Synthé surprenant

Voilà un synyhé qui sort de l'ordinaire, la prise en main est quasi immédiate mais la synthèse â base de tables d'ondes n'est pas commune. Pas moins de 32 oscillateurs, 120 tables d'onde, autant dire qu'il y a de quoi faire. Le synthé est facile d'utilisation, on a quasiment tout sous la main, peu de menus et de sous menus. Les sonorités sont excellentes et couvrent de vastes territoires sonores cependant il excelle dans les sonorités plutôt médium/haut médium acidulées voire distordues mais il peut se montrer tout aussi doux.
Le gros plus pour moi est l'existence d'une appli VST me permettant de le piloter et de le programmer via cubase.
Le nombre de presets est impressionnant, je n'en ai d'ailleurs pas encore fais le tour.
Seul bémol, les potards en plastique légers offrant peu de résistance, ils semblent fragiles et sont très sensibles, j'ai peur de leur mauvaise tenue dans le temps, surtout le gros potard du filtre qui n'a aucune résistance (on a l'impression de tourner dans le vide) et pourtant qui est très sensible !
Hormis cet aspect physique c'est un synthé très intéressant offrant des possibilités de synthèse énormes, pas prêt d'en faire le tour !

Ein absoluter Traum

Wer sich einen Synthesizer kauft, sollte am besten erstmal das Handbuch downloaden und nach den MIDI CV-Controls gucken. Beim "Make Noise 0-Coast" sind das ein paar dürftige Basisbefehle, die kaum über die Lautstärke hinausgehen. Beim Argon8 geht die CV-Tabelle über 4 Seiten und es gibt eine App für Mac, Windows und iOS, mit der sich SÄMTLICHE Funktionen speichern und fernsteuern lassen und man kann quasi alles extern kontrollieren und fernsteuern - die App ist so geil und liefert so viele Zusatzfunktionen, dass ich mir ernsthaft überlege, nur deshalb ein iPad zu kaufen und auf meinem Keyboard zu montieren. Dazu passt auch, das Modal regelmäßig Web-Workshops durchführt und andauernd neue Tipps auf seinem Youtube-Kanal postet, bei denen ist wirklich alles komplett digitalisiert.

Der Argon8 verfügt nicht nur über einen guten Arpeggiator und Sequenzer (der dieselben Funktionen in meinem Keyboard weitestgehend arbeitslos machen), sondern kann z.B. auch Akkorde lernen und mit einer Taste widergeben und es gibt für ALLES visuelles Feedback, z.B. eine extra Taste und 4 eigene LEDs, die immer sofort anzeigen, ob ein geladener Sound mono-, poly- oder unison ist oder "Stacked" ist. Dazu kommen (mit dem neuesten Update) 400 verschiedene Sounds, die man dann über die Auswahl der Wellenformen und Mods beliebig verändern kann. Was bei den Sounds nicht dabei ist, sind "fiese Sounds" wie vom 0-Coast oder Pulsar23, dafür jede Menge gefällige Pads und harmonische Akkorde und auch ein paar brauchbare Drums.
Auch erwähnenswert: die vielen Filter, sebst der Hall klingt ziemlich perfekt, ohne Whitenoise am Ende und auf Wunsch auch bis zu 20 Sekunden lang. Manche Reverbs klingen in meinem Empress Effects Pedal besser, aber für "einfach so integriert in einem 500 € Synth"kann ich absolut nicht meckern. Der zudem noch gebaut ist wie ein Panzer und sogar mit einer Rackhaterung kommt. Perfekt!
