Well made & chunky. Converts any old/spare stand into a boom arm hi-hat holder. It is very easy to get the open sound you want by simply adjusting the tilt screw. As this is a heavy piece of metal, I would only recommend 'doubling up' on a heavy duty stand with a wide, well balance footprint. Not good for the nerves to see expensive cymbals/hi-hats swaying about! I am yet again pleasantly surprised by the quality of a Millenium brand product - recommended.
Only bought this as a novelty, didnt expect to use it so much, but its great. The quality is very good especially when you consider the price. It is very solid, holds a pair of 14" hi-hats no problem. I thought it would only suit to small splash cymbals but it is much stringer than I thought.
Downsides are small but; the clamp is slightly over engineered, but Millenium stuff can be like that. It is EXCELLENT quality just a bit finnicky setting up in a hurry, thats why I gave it just 4 starts for handling. Also, treat the tilter of the hi-hat part with a little care and you will be ok. This feels like the cheap part of the product so just treat with care and it will be fine.
